holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition & Food Management from
Oregon State University, and a Master of Science degree in Gerontology
(the study of aging) with an emphasis in Physiology & Nutrition, from the
University of Arizona. She is a Registered Dietitian with 10 years’ experience
in the field of nutrition, focusing on disease prevention and weight management.

Joan Unruh lpc cac iii
Joan
Unruh has a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College
and received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of
Maryland. She has been a therapist since 1995 at several clinics, including
the Boulder County Addiction Recovery Center, the Eating Disorder Center
of Denver, and Kaiser Permanente Mental Health. Her therapy practice in
Boulder, dedicated to nurturing change and recovery, opened in 2000. Joan
is an active member of the National Eating Disorders Association, Anxiety
Disorders Association of America, Colorado Association of Psychotherapists,
and the Eating Disorder Professionals of Colorado.
